Sliding door

One of the groups made up their mind for constructing a sliding garage-door. After having analysed different designs on the internet and having seen few videotutorials, they will go for a proyect that will include a worm-gear mechanism and a double switch. If things go as expected, we will maybe dare to add a couple of limit switches, too.

 
 

 

Assembly of the basic components

The basic components are already assembled and they are being fitted, so that the mechanism works correctly: first by hand, then automatically.

As it was the first time that we constructed a sliding door, once we verified the mechanism, we dismantle the structure and we paint it until it takes the final aspect.
