3D Printing

Prusa i3 Hephestos

Last week we received something we were eager to have for a long time: a 3D printer. It is a Prusa i3 Hephestos, an open source 3D printer designed and developed by the bq Department of Innovation and Robotics.

We will have to assemble it ourselves. It looks like a hard task but hopefully we will take advantage to learn a lot all along the process.

16th February

Today we began to assemble the 3D printer. The beginning was a bit confusing, but once we put the ideas in order, it has been like mounting a piece of furniture from IKEA. We still have a lot of work ahead, but we will work with enthusiasm!

Assembly finished

24th March

After many hours of work and not few difficulties, the printer is assembled.
