Drawbridge

9th December

In the next project the students of 2nd grade are going to be asked to build a wooden drawbridge. I constructed this bridge myself at the weekend to show them how it has to be. But this is a very basic one! Of course they will have to get a better product!

Designs of the drawbridges

18th January

We have begun to build the structures of the bridges. Whereas some groups will make them using wooden sticks, some others will use rubber sheets of 3 mm thickness.

Building the structure

12th January

After every student designed his/her own bridge, all the members of the group chose one design, which will be followed in the construction process. See how some of them look like!

This goes fast!

30th January

The students are eager to see their projects finished and they are working very hard. They have begun to color them and soon they will begin with the mechanism.

Banisters for the road

5th February

See how one of the groups constructed the road and began to make the banister. This looks promising!

Structures about to get finished

15th February

Most of the groups are finishing with the structures, so this week we will go for the mechanism.

The projects are finished in one of the two classes. Students are proud of their works.
